Add a CommentWhile parts of this book are interesting their is a definitely an overtone that I really disliked. Basically that it is okay to be beatup and abused because you "are a man and a man takes it" - every now and then the author throws in a comment about how a real man doesn't do this but it is a token amount. Why she didn't instead link it to the slayer abilities and how a "slayer can take it without crying" is beyond me. The supposed age of Joss is also completely unbelievable. COME ON a 16 year old is dropping professional fighters?????
I am not sure if it is worth reading the next book or not.
I think the next book is
