Rory Freedman, co-author of the #1 New York Times mega-seller Skinny Bitch , returns with a call-to-arms to all animal lovers. So many of us call ourselves animal lovers and worship our dogs and cats--but we could be using that love as a force for helping all animals. Beg is a battle cry on their behalf, as well as an inspirational, empowering guide to what we can do to help them. With the same no-nonsense tone that made Skinny Bitch a multi-million copy success, Beg galvanizes us to change our choices and actions, and to love animals in a radical new way.

I thought this book was good and well written. There's a certain point in the book that has a note from the author which states, basically, that from that point on the information will be harder to swallow (pun not intended), but it's up to you to venture deeper into the truths of he farming industry/ dairy industry. If you don't want to know then truth then turn back from that point otherwise it will be hard to ignore and will haunt you. I read the whole book and decided to become vegan and believe this is the best choice for me. Good luck to the people who have the bravery to read on.

(For "dogfancier") Hey, PETA is highly effective in exposing cruelty. And Veganism is far more healthy than a meat and animal based diet. I'm only 16 Y.O, and I'm vegan. So you think animal cruelty is morally okay? Do you think keeping animals in cages so small they can hardly move for the rest of their lives is acceptable? NO! It's not. People who openly support animal cruelty should be imprisoned.

Undoubtedly the most heavy-handed book I've ever experienced in which Freedman shares how she has reached perfect enlightenment, and how you can too. But only if you can be exactly like her.

A reminder of where food comes from & that there are choices available.

A PETA/vegan emotional rant. Definitely not peer-reviewed in content. Much better, more knowledgeable books are available on the topic. Another silly celebrity "authority."
