Foster the People's sophomore album "Supermodel" takes many of the strong points from "Torches" (their debut) and trims the fat down to the bone. This is one of those rare records that you can listen to "cover-to-cover" and not be disappointed in a single track. Turn it on and let it play for hours. Let the grounded indie rock wash through your ears and take you somewhere grand...

The story for me with this album, having browsed through it many times, is that I love the first track and nothing beyond that has ever stuck with me as something I enjoy.

This is truly an amazing album and the perfect follow-up to Torches, showing a more grounded and painful side to FTP. Are You and Ask Yourself are the perfect openers. The singles are extremely well written and the lyrics show a very mature Mark. A more guitar driven and darker side without sounding gloomy. 10/10 for sure...

I loved "Torches", their first album, and this album follows suit. Actually, I believe that this album reflects a maturing of the group, or Mark Foster, whichever it may be.

The songs are varied, and they continue to run through my head as I awake and start my day. The lyrics are very smart, and mostly understandable. So smart, that I was compelled to google for lyrics and meanings for songs (e.g., "Fire Escape", "Are You What You Want To Be"). It turns out that the album is a contemplation of social issues that Mark Foster was considering.

I'm telling you, smart lyrics, catchy songs. Listen.

Not my kind of music . Was looking for the song " Pumped up kicks " Think this group can count that song as their " one hit wonder " . The songs on this CD were rather awful ( for my taste anyhow )
