This album is. So. Underrated.

Let me first address that most of the lyrics are kinda so-so, and not as personal as Hybrid Theory, Meteora, MTM, etc. Despite that, THP takes on a different tone altogether, giving me a kinda post-apocalyptic war feeling (the lyrics are metaphorical, though).
The first three tracks are insanely catchy and heavy on the guitars (and, in the case of Keys To The Kingdom, heavy on the screaming). Every track until Mark The Graves is worth your time, and then the album descends into somewhat forgettable mediocrity (though A Line In The Sand is pretty alright; it's a good ending for the album).

Overall, although THP isn't as good as Meteora or Hybrid Theory, it definitely beats MTM, Living Things, Recharged, etc. As a Linkin Park album, I wouldn't give it an outstanding score. But as a rock album, I'm giving it a 5/5 for being unique, infuriatingly catchy, perfectly heavy, and just generally sounding really freaking cool.

I don't mind screamo.. but these guys need some more collaborators because the writing was weak. Sounds like a bunch of teens made a band, not like a real act that's been around for years.

it's more heavy and guitar driven than their more recently albums.nothing seems to stick for me on this one though.
