HANK MOODY IS THE MAN !!!!

I really enjoyed watching this, I don't have Showtime so I never got the chance to watch it when it was on, but this series reminds me of the good cable shows that used to come on HBO. Had me hooked from the pilot. It seems realistic, it's funny, it's sexy and it gives me insight into a life much different then mine. Very good, can't wait to see what else is in store for Hank.

The copy I had was so scratched it wouldn't play properly, so missed parts of it. Don't think I'll lose any sleep over it tho.

Long running Shotime series set in El Ay takes us into the private, debauched and hedonistic lives of fictional writer Hank Moody (Duchovney), his hapless agent Charlie (Evan Handler), their wives, children and a host of drug, alcohol and sexually obsessed cast members. Its one of those, "I can't believe I'm watching...no, actually enjoying this doggerel." But, its actually pretty well written, clever and very funny at times...if you can get past Duchovney's over the top character's disregard for anyone but himself.

I have a feeling I will think this is boring too, I'm a late 20s intelligent, cultured female who doesn't care about single fathers with bad habits.......

BORING TO THE HILT

Easily the best television mini-series since the Sopranos, Califonication plumbs interpersonal relationships like few series can. Amazingly well written and delivered to the screen, Californication is clearly a passion project for those involved, and it doesn’t hurt that the head writer and star are both executive producers. For those of you interested in screen writing, this is the cutting edge of the craft.

I really enjoy this show the acting is good, and its wonderfully scripted. If your not a fan of dark comedy you will not enjoy this show.

Fictional hollywood dysfunctional relationships among mid-life adults and their teen daughters. Some clever dialogues and unexpected wild human behaviors, even for those who lived the lives in LA.

Not the best cable show ever but not the worst way to waste time. Some funny moments, some totally unbelievable and irritating characters and situations.
