The true story of a South African hero's journey to freedom. In the country's turbulent and divided times in the 1980s, Patrick Chamusso is an oil refinery foreman and soccer coach who is apolitical. That is, until he and his wife Precious are jailed. Patrick is stunned into action against the country's oppressive reigning system, even as police Colonel Nic Vos further insinuates himself into the Chamussos' lives.

An historical dramatization of Apartheid and how it eventually ended the rule of apartness in South Africa. In a climate of 2 million whites ruling 19 million blacks, it was clear that things were eventually going to capsize politically.

Beautiful movie Sadly though this kind of treatment of a certain class and race of people is happening today in Gaza its still happening we humans do not learn from the past we continue to do the same things to each other over and over again

A South Africa rebel: from being a normal citizen to become a terrorist (or freedom fighter) and finally a political prisoner.

Idolized biopic about South-African freedom-fighter Patrick Chamusso. Provides a weak rehashing of the atrocities of apartheid--with the possible exception of a chillingly original scene in which a torturer suspends his activities long enough to take his victim home for Sunday dinner with the torturer's family.
