If you didn't read this before you began the Dollanganger series then reading it at the end will make complete sense. In fact, I can't emphasized enough how I enjoyed reading this particular book after and not before all the others.....to me it's the only way to understand the intelligent but peculiar similarities carried down through the generations.

This book may have come later than the other books but thuis book allows thereader to understand many of the things left undeveloped of not quite clear. you really should begin with this book before the others in the dollanganger series

This book if not read before the other 2, when u finally get to it, it will make a lot of sense no matter if you read it first or last but don't ever read it in between because it can confuse you. it really explains a lot as to how and why the rest of the books truly came about, good book
