Wallace and Chantry meet at a party while reading refrigerator magnet poetry and find that they have great chemistry… as friends. They form a relationship in which they talk about everything from movies to illnesses to disappointing Christmas presents. It’'s heavy interest at first sight but there is a problem-:Chantry has a serious boyfriend.

That moment when you realize that you're in a relationship with the wrong person. Cute flick.

Charming ... I watched it because of Harry Potter ... but easily left that character behind as Daniel Radcliff evoked this new interesting person. When is the right time to tell someone you love them? Certainly not when you meet them, or when they tell you they are living with someone else.

Wallace is in love with his best friend, who is in a committed long-term relationship already. The result is a quirky and hilarious movie that stings in all the right places. Actors Radcliffe and Kazan are a mix of the right amount of awkward and funny, enough to make you root for them. Their chemistry on screen is electric, and even though it’s the center of the story, supporting characters are also well developed and engaging. The F Word is filled with the most random bits of dialogue that just work in a movie that doesn’t try too hard to be funny, but is still absurdly good. The movie’s only drawback is it’s ending, which not to spoil anything, was incredibly tidy unlike the rest of the movie. The movie seemed on track to break a bunch of rom-com cliches, but still fell into the trap of the neatly packaged ending. To confess, I probably would have overlooked this movie if it were not for Daniel Radcliffe. But, I am very grateful that I watched it, and have a new appreciation for indie movies because of it. 4/5. @viedelabibliothèque of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

This romantic/comedy is about a man who dropped out of medical school and develops a crush on his new friend who is already taken. Daniel Radcliffe does a fairly good job at playing this character since he is just the right amount of awkward and charming that makes things work. There were some awkward moments in the film that seemed to have fallen to poor writing and actor chemistry, but for the most part it wasn’t too bad. I would rate this movie 3.5/5 stars and recommend it to those who like romantic/comedies that don’t try too hard to be funny or romantic.

My favorite romcom of all time. Zoe Kazan and Daniel Radcliffe compliment each other perfectly. This film revisits the age old question of if girls and boys can be 'just friends'.

I really liked the fact that it didn't pander to your baser instincts and treated the audience with the decorum we deserve. Well done.

In general, I am not a fan of romantic comedies but "What If" was so sweet and heart-warming that I watched it not once, but several times. Radcliffe shines as Wallace, a quirky guy who befriends a girl already in a relationship. The supporting cast is great too. I loved this film so much, I bought it for my personal library.

Not a gold plated one I can say...but enjoyable without the need to push the "eject" button.

I thought it was a great romantic comedy. Seriously, one of the better ones that I can remember. The characters really connected with me, even though some of the other reviewers did not like it. I thought it was awesome.

Random side conversations are my favorite parts of the movie.

A wonderful film about my generation, set in Toronto! I adored it. I don't dare say anything so as not to spoil anything (not that it's twisty and turny, but still, spoilers are spoilers), but I do highly recommend it to anyone who has the same sense of humour that I have, equal parts quirky and demented. An endearing must-see!
