Light entertainment, but well written and a good start for a series. Megan is still grieving for her husband killed in Afghanistan, she agrees to hire a veteran with obvious issues from his army tour of duty, and there are enough issues with people in Winsome, and with her relatives, to possibly provide more mysteries. The veterinarian is complex enough to provide romance as well as problems. Since the author has her own micro farm, her details about Megan's agricultural life are realistic and there's a recipe and gardening tip in the back.
