A Gulf War veteran has returned home with amnesia only to be convicted of a murder he didn't commit. While in an institution for the criminally insane he is put on a heavy course of experimental drugs and restrained in a jacket-like device and locked away in a body drawer of the basement morgue. The process mysteriously transports him to the future where he hopes to make changes that can alter the course of history.

Equal parts 'Jacob's Ladder' & 'Butterfly Effect', with a lot of class act plot maneuvers & special effects. I'm not usually inclined toward Adrian Brody's movies, either, & this one's pretty magnificent. Very much recommended! CR

A decent psychological thriller that slipped through the cracks. Disturbing and unusual story -- definitely along the lines of "Jacob's Ladder".

This is an excellent weird movie that keeps you engrossed and trying to figure out things. You definitely want your brain on for this one.

This is an easy one. Did you like Jacob's Ladder? Do you wish it had a slightly more positive ending? You will love this movie.

Criminally underrated, The Jacket is an excellent sci-fi thriller. Featuring first class stars (Adrian Brody, Keira Knightley) and co-stars (Jennifer Jason Leigh, Daniel Craig, Kris Kristofferson), the movie was produced by George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh. It misfired in the theater because it was mis-marketed as a horror movie. Instead, it is a twisty time-travel movie with an interesting story line and satisfying payoff. Highly recommended.
