Wow....shocking, sexy, crazy story! I recommend!
When I read a Mommy memoir, I want to discover how the daughter came to terms with her dreadful Mother.
Instead, Sonnenberg enables until she finds a husband who serves her neurosis, has a couple of boys who will face the same conflicts.
Resolution? She abandons her dying mother to her long-suffering sister.
Please.
This book is an easy read, but feels voyeuristic like a People magazine at times. A great escape from my life as a mom of 2...
A unconventional memoir that captures the turbulent and often questionable relationship between mothers and daughters.
