I did like the book. But despite this, it is full of contradictions. And, so to speak, "positive" heroes are not so "positive" and their actions sometimes, cause, at least, disapproval. And Charlie somehow is unconvincing: how come he turned out to be so smart and insightful? And the idea - anything and everything in this life – is "buy-sell". A surprising similarity of names of fictional politicians, condemned by the author, or rather, by the hero of the book, with the actually existing Toronto’s management. From my point of view - this is not a mystery detective novel, how they are trying to present the book, but a some kind of fictional or based on reality "document”, accusing the entire political, police, legal, etc. Top of Toronto. It is shown that the journalism doesn’t have so much: - if you want to save your job – be quiet. Bad feeling from described the opinion of super-rich residents of Toronto about the rest - as they call the rest - stupid peasants. If this is really how it is – it is disgusting and sad.
