Difficult to read technically due to references of German and Swedish words, all not seemingly being explained. The second reason is because of the subject matter. The Jewish survivors continued to have great preventable travails and inhospitable receptions from the countries they fled to. They were in one way liberated from the death camps only to face a seemingly heartless world described in the book. But, this book is quite worthy of being read.
