One of my friends really likes Julian Barnes, and gave me this book of his to read. I was so disappointed that I didn't like it.
The thing I don't like about it is that it's just not special or remarkable. Neither the characters nor the plot are very remarkable or exciting. Just a really boring, yet mercifully short, read.
I don't know how or why this book won the 2011 Booker Prize. Maybe they felt it was Julian Barnes' time, regardless of the actual book that he wrote.
